PATHFINDERS

Our Mission

The Abney Chapel SDA Golden Eagles Pathfinder Club is dedicated to helping young people grow in faith, character, and service. Through hands‑on activities, outdoor adventures, leadership training, and Christ‑centered mentorship, we guide Pathfinders to discover their God‑given potential. Our mission is to inspire youth to live with purpose, serve their community with compassion, and follow Jesus with courage and joy.

Our Vision

We envision a generation of young people who are grounded in faith, confident in their purpose, and committed to serving God and others. About the Pathfinder Club

The Pathfinders is a Christian-based organization dedicated to providing outreach and skills-oriented activities for children between the ages of 10 and 15. The Golden Eagles Pathfinder Ministry at Abney Chapel SDA Church is committed to offering wholesome activities and challenges designed to foster spiritual, physical, social, and moral development. Through these experiences, young people are equipped to face life’s most challenging situations with confidence and preparedness.

Central to the Pathfinder Ministry are the teachings of Christian principles, which are introduced and reinforced through two foundational mechanisms: the Pathfinder Pledge and the Pathfinder Law. Each year, thousands of Pathfinders learn and choose to uphold the requirements of the Pathfinder Pledge and Law, with the goal of growing closer to their Creator and to others, regardless of their individual backgrounds.

In addition to spiritual and character development, Pathfinders are given the opportunity to earn honors in a wide array of skills—ranging from basic household crafts and nature study to astronomy and many other areas, with more than 450 different honors available. These skills are then put into practice during community service projects and outdoor camping adventures, which help prepare participants for real-world outdoor survival.

We warmly invite all youth aged 10 to 15 to join the Pathfinder experience. Participation promises to be both uplifting and rewarding, fostering growth in every participant.
